At Utah Dance Academy we have three competition team pathways for you to choose between.
These three pathways allow dancers and families to participate on a team that works best with their time, commitment, skill level, performance interest, dance budget and long-term dance goals.

UDA TEAM
UDA Team is our recreation competition team level. Dancers who compete as part of the UDA Team will progress in their dance training at an elevated pace compared to a standard Academy Class. They will have a opportunity to compete in one routine at two local dance competitions.
This is a great option for dancers who are involved in other sports and/or fine arts commitments, but who still want to enjoy competitive dance. It is also a great place to gain skills needed to be placed on UDA Team Company.

UDA TEAM COMPANY
The UDA Team Company is our traditional dance company but elevated to a new standard! We are so excited to streamline the level and commitment of dancers on the Team Company to ensure every dancer is working and growing towards the same goals. Team Company dancers are committed to making dance a priority. This level will compete in two routines at three local competitions and attend our Utah Dance Academy Convention.
This is a great option for dancers who are passionate about dance and want to compete at a high level. Dancers who love being part of a team, working hard in class, and performing on stage will excel in the Elite Company. Dancers will learn the skills necessary to make a high school drill team.

UDA performance company
The UDA Performance Company is an elite team and will be held to the same high standard as Team Company. In addition, a commitment to consistent dance attendance and increased hours per week in the classroom is required. Dancers in Performance Company will compete three team routines in three local competitions, attend our Utah Dance Academy Convention, and attend another local Convention like Hollywood Vibe, NUVO, Jump, Etc. They may also perform at community events throughout the year.
This is a great option for dancers who want to make dance their main focus and outlet! Dancers who love attending conventions, extra technique and Master Classes, and learning a wide variety of dance styles will benefit from being part of the Performance Company. The Performance Company dancers will learn the skills necessary to enter the professional dance industry as a career.
