Most dance classes have a AcroTumbling Class that coordinates to make a 2-hour block so students can take Dance/Cheer and AcroTumbling back-to-back.
dance Combo: Tap/Jazz/Ballet
Combo class is the perfect opportunity to introduce students to a wide variety of dance styles. The Introduction to Dance Combination class builds a foundation of basic movement and dance technique. Our combo classes are full of imaginative constructive play. They fly like butterflies, stretch like growing flowers, leap across imaginary mud puddles, float with princess crowns, turn like the wind, and so much more! We believe when dancers are taught a love for dance, they grow and develop in amazing ways! We feel success when our tiny dancers say, "I love coming to dance!"
Jazz/Hip-Hop
Jazz/Hip-Hop is a combination class of technique, style, and presentation. Our classes emphasize musicality, stylization, body alignment, rhythm, and performance. Students will learn a variety of leaps and turns. Dancers are taught how to understand choreography quickly and connect steps and skills together to upbeat tempo music.
Ballet/Lyrical
Our ballet/lyrical class teaches dancers disciplined dance technique. It is perfect for any dancer who would like to improve their turnout, muscle control, turns, leaps, and flexibility. It is a "building blocks" class to help dancers establish a solid dance foundation. If you would like to take your dance to the next level then add this class to your current schedule.
Cheer
Cheer classes at UDA focus on jumps, kicks, and angles. Athletes will learn basic tumbling and stunting. Classes will also include flexibility training, voice projection, and rallying.
ACRO/Tumbling
Our acro/tumbling classes cover basic muscle building, body control exercises, and flexibility. As skill levels advance, students will learn back and front walkovers, back and front handsprings, aerials, back tucks, and layouts. We have multiple instructors in each class to allow for personalized attention and skill building. Tumblers are able to progress at their own pace in a fun but structured environment!
Our classes are based on the Acrobatic Arts curriculum. The acrobatic element adds cleanliness and control to the tumbling program! Students looking for training to make school cheer and drill teams will get the skills they need to prepare for auditions. Click here for more information!
